From the series: Long Journey
The last hours before sunset.
The die-hard sun protection factor -10 beachgoers slowly leave the beach to throw on a hoodie and take one last look at the sea and a few darkening surfers in the water.
The sky slowly turns pink and the setting sun wraps everything in a somehow softer tone. This of course attracts the Vinho Verde gangs and the slowly cooled beige beach sand is newly covered with cheap beach towels from the hawkers. Music sounds. Jack Johnson sends his regards. Here and there you can hear clinking glasses with the Cañas. In addition to cheese and grapes, the groups of baguettes and all sorts of hummus creations are shoved into hungry mouths.
We're coming to the grand finale. The pink gives way to a strong red, only to later return to more pastel tones. And once again many observers are amazed at how quickly the sun disappeared again.
