From the series: Long Journey

Two years in the middle. When I returned to Hamburg from studying in Freiburg, things got colorful! With a bit of luck, I was able to convince the landlord that it would be a much better idea to turn the magnificent old apartment on Gurlittstrasse into a five-person student shared apartment instead of having a professional soccer player move in. And boom, what a legendary time! We weren't just there, we were right in the middle of it. We liked to sit in front of the kiosk with our folding chairs and watch the goings-on on the mile while having heated discussions or to attach our paddle boat to the Alster in order to prepare for exams while surrounded by swans and drinking Alster water. Everlasting friendships were formed here.

The colorful vibe of the Lange Reihe immediately attracted us and gave us a home. Even though the offers from the gentlemen's world were just compliments and nothing more for us, we quickly acclimatized between opera singers and dog lovers and became party event professionals. And so my time as a shared apartment leader began and later led me to the Elbchaussee, the legendary EC16!
