Ostfriesland had never made it onto my itinerary before. And boom, I was suddenly there and at first a bit overwhelmed by the stream of tourists in front of Norderney.

But in Greetsiel we found a somewhat enchanted little port town that lets you relax and glide into the colorful sunset between the white sailing ships.

The coastal town is characterized by a cozy old town center consisting of brick houses from the 18th century, a large selection of fish restaurants and the direct proximity to the Wadden Sea.< /p>
