One of those childhood memories. In autumn it was always that time and we set off from Hamburg towards Voralberg. Off to the mountains to a rustic mountain hut.

It was always a very special experience for us kids. Painting stones in the cold Eisbach. Cows are milking at the farmer around the corner. Roam through the surroundings and hide behind the green fir trees and, panting through the altitude, run back to the hut for dinner.

The memory of my father, who worked with so much patience on the illustrations for the next children's books, is particularly memorable. And afterwards I was always proud to say that I was also allowed to color a few animals and thus immortalized myself in the books of James Krüss and my father.
